The hiking trails
Temporary closure: Due to significant trail work on the mountain this spring only the Ridge Trail to High Head or the nordic trails are open to the public for the next couple of weeks. You can access the Ridge trail from original trailhead at the north parking lot. Cross the bridge at the waterfall, and take a hard right up alongside waterfall. Highead and nordic trails can be accessed from the top of the Ridge trail. April 22, 2025.
The scenic Wentworth Valley, nestled in Nova Scotia’s Appalachian Mountains, offers beauty and adventure for all seasons. Our out-and-back trails take you to the top of the mountain for arresting views of the valley and beyond.
This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and snowshoeing, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The trail is accessible year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Your adventure begins at the trail entrance in the north parking lot.
