Start with a gentle chairlift ride up Wentworth Mountain as you glide through a glowing canopy of fall foliage. As you ascend, you'll be treated to a panorama of red and gold, streaming out to the horizons of the unspoiled Wentworth Valley. Once you've taken in the view from the summit, enjoy the downhill walk along tree-lined trails, where you can get up close and personal with the Acadian forest at its most spectacular.

This is the final weekend of the Fall Colours and lift-accessed Bike Park season.
Fall colours, falling water. Combine your mountain adventure with a side trip to Wentworth Falls, a stunning bridal veil waterfall just minutes from Ski Wentworth.

No dogs on the chairlift
Chairlift runs Saturday/Sunday 10 AM–4 PM
The last chairlift ticket sold by 3:45 PM
This is a one-way trip only. You must be able to walk down the mountain.
The terrain is uneven. Wear sturdy footwear for the walk down. Wentworth reserves the right to refuse chairlift access if footwear is inappropriate.
Small children must ride on your lap
No strollers on the chairlift
The easiest and only way to walk down is the Chickadee trail. It’s a gravel summer access road.
It’s an approximate 30-minute chairlift ride to the top.
The walk down expect at least a 20–30 minute walk down uneven terrain.Dress in layers. Remember, it’s fall in Nova Scotia, which means the weather can change quickly, and the ride up can sometimes be chilly.
Pack your phone or camera for shareable fall colour masterpieces.
When you’re at the top stop by The Nest where you will find snacks, beverages and possibly a BBQ. (location: walk straight when unloading the chairlift).
While there are plenty of food and drink options on-site, some water is always good to have along.
Cobequid Chairlift Download Policy for guests with mobility challenges.
Guests with reduced mobility who are unable to walk down the mountain may request a special download pass. Please identify yourself at the rental shop before purchasing a ticket to receive this pass.
IMPORTANT: The final chairlift download is at 3pm. Guests must be at the top of the mountain at the Cobequid chairlift before 3pm to download.
Download requirements:
You must be accompanied by another person on the chairlift
Proper footwear is required
You must be able to unload from a slowly moving chairlift and walk down a set of stairs or ramp
You must be able to walk up a ramp to load on the chairlift
