Plan your fall colour adventure.

This fall, let Wentworth show you the true colours of Nova Scotia.

September 27-28, October 4-5, October 11–12 and October 18–19

Start with a gentle chairlift ride up Wentworth Mountain as you glide through a glowing canopy of fall foliage. As you ascend, you'll be treated to a panorama of red and gold, streaming out to the horizons of the unspoiled Wentworth Valley. Once you've taken in the view from the summit, enjoy the downhill walk along tree-lined trails, where you can get up close and personal with the Acadian forest at its most spectacular.

Mark the change of seasons with an Oktoberfest-themed mountain ramble—and celebrate in the Oktoberfest way with a beer and snacks in the fresh air. Lederhosen welcome!

This is the final weekend of the Fall Colours and lift-accessed Bike Park season.

Fall colours, falling water. Combine your mountain adventure with a side trip to Wentworth Falls, a stunning bridal veil waterfall just minutes from Ski Wentworth.

What you need to know

Answers to frequently asked questions.

  • No dogs on the chairlift

  • Chairlift runs Saturday/Sunday 10 AM–4 PM

  • The last chairlift ticket sold by 3:45 PM

  • This is a one-way trip only. You must be able to walk down the mountain.

  • The terrain is uneven. Wear sturdy footwear for the walk down. Wentworth reserves the right to refuse chairlift access if footwear is inappropriate.

  • Small children must ride on your lap

  • No strollers on the chairlift

  • The easiest way to walk down is the Chickadee trail. It’s a gravel summer access road.

  • It’s an approximate 30-minute chairlift ride to the top.
    The walk down depends on the trail you choose and your mobility level. Expect at least a 20–30 minute walk down uneven terrain.

  • Dress in layers. Remember, it’s fall in Nova Scotia, which means the weather can change quickly, and the ride up can sometimes be chilly.

  • Pack your phone or camera for shareable fall colour masterpieces.

  • While there are plenty of food and drink options on-site, some water is always good to have along

Cobequid Chairlift Fall Colours Downloading Passengers Policy

Fall Colours is a one way scenic chairlift trip up and a walk down the mountain.

If you have reduced mobility and are not able to walk down the mountain - please Identify yourself to the chairlift attendant on duty.  
There are requirements for downloading on the Cobequid chairlift:

  • You must be accompanied by another person on the chairlift.

  • Be wearing appropriate footwear

  • Be able to unload a slowly moving chairlift and walk down a set of stairs or ramp

  • Be able to walk up a set of stairs and load a slowly moving chairlift
